1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Arckeys (including our website, dashboard, and browser extensions), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all access and use.
2. Cryptographic Responsibility
Under our zero-knowledge model, you are solely responsible for memorizing your master password and keeping your passkeys/recovery codes secure. We do not store, transit, or possess cleartext copies of your vault credentials or keys. If you lose your master password, passkeys, and recovery kit, we cannot recover or decrypt your vault contents, resulting in permanent data loss.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service to store or transmit illicit files, malware, or violate intellectual property rights. You agree not to attempt to compromise our security, overload our synchronization systems, or access other users' encrypted payloads.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranty that the service will be entirely uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. Client-side cryptography is provided using standard Web Crypto standards, but you assume all responsibility for browser security and local key safety.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Arckeys or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or vault access, resulting from unauthorized local machine access, phishing, or loss of master credentials.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we detect abuse of our API, failure to process subscription payments, or violation of these terms.
